Bob Vila (“This Old House”) built this house about 10 years ago as part of a magazine article and television show. Unfortunately, the landscape was not its strong point and a small patio weighed down by a huge outdoor fireplace didn’t help. The new owners trusted our instincts regarding the reorganization of the landscape, using the fireplace to anchor a larger space, a renovation including a new ‘green’ fence, and most importantly, a connection amid the entire property.
